Check out these Aklan restaurants!

If you didn't grow up in Aklan, you probably only know the province because of the Ati-Atihan Festival and its proximity to the famous island of Boracay. But aside from these facts, the province of Aklan also offers delicious food and the restaurants that serve it.
Biyahe ni Drew went to Aklan to visit two restaurants that serve traditional Aklan dishes as well as travelers' favorites.
Vista Manika Cafe & Resto
Vista Manika Cafe & Resto can be found in Brgy. Manika, Libacao, Aklan. Just like a lot of the restaurants and view decks in Manika, this restaurant sprung up once a farm to market road was built in the area, allowing travelers to visit it.
One of the dishes served in the restaurant is inubarang manok, a chicken soup that included the core of a banana stalk as well as kutsay, or native spring onions.
Aside from inubarang manok, visitors can also try out tinuom na manok, which is cooked in banana leaves, as well as binakol, which is cooked inside bamboo.
Wengay's Snack Haven
Wengay's Snack Haven is also located in Manika. It is owned by Rowena Beltran Dominguez, who used to work in Russia, alongside her chef husband who used to work in Boracay.
If Vista Manika Cafe & Resto serves traditional Aklan food, Wengay's Snack Haven serves a combination of the expertises of Rowena and her husband. Visitors can have cassava chips, garlic bread, as well as chicken or pork lomi.
