Hidden gems to visit in Singapore as seen on Victor Anastacio's new online travel series

Recently, the Singapore Tourism Board, a statutory board under the Ministry of Trade and Industry of Singapore, collaborated with GMA's very own Sparkle artist, Victor Anastacio, to explore the never-been visited places in the most famous tourists spots in the "Lion City."

The video series entitled, 'VicTour SG' presents Victor Anastacio as your local tour guide in the Southeast Asian country. He visits different neighborhoods in the country highlighting novel and lowkey places most tourists haven't seen before.

Ruby Liu, area director of the Singapore Tourism Board office in the Philippines, shares from yesterday's press conference the idea behind the project and what led them to push it. She says, “As I'm based in Manila, sometimes when I meet new Filipino friends here they will tell me that they've been to Singapore years ago and they feel that they've visited all the important places already and they don't know if there's anything to do more in Singapore.”

With that, the SingapoReimagined campaign was created. Ruby Liu shares, “In this campaign, we invite travelers to see Singapore in a new light and to check out places that are unexpected, unknown, or to do something entirely new in Singapore.”

By the end of the press conference, Ruby Liu gave advice to everyone, “The next time you travel it should be different. Don't just do the same again. Try something different, see something you've never seen.”

The first two episodes of the travel series will show Victor visiting two famous neighborhoods that are very well-known to Filipinos.

Yesterday, the very first episode of the video series was released on Visit Singapore's official Facebook page and shows Victor visiting the famous Orchard Road and Dempsey Hill.
