It's taken almost three years, but finally travel restrictions brought about by the global coronavirus pandemic are easing around the world.

Vaccine certificates have now become essential during pandemic travel, as more and more people either get vaccinated or are getting their booster shots.

However, not all countries recognize the Philippines' VaxCertPh, which could severely impact your chances of being allowed into a country you are traveling into. Before making any travel plans, be sure to check out the Department of Foreign Affairs, Republic of the Philippines Facebook page, which recently shared a list of countries whose vaccine certificates are accepted here and who, in turn, also accept VaxCertPh.

Countries in the list include Armenia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Belgium, and Brunei Darussalam. Also on the list are Canada, Chile, Colombia, Denmark, Ecuador, and Georgia.

VaxCertPh is also accepted in India, Iraq, Ireland, Israel, Italy, and Kazakhstan. Kuwait, Monaco, Myanmar, Oman, Papua New Guinea, Peru, and Qatar will also accept VaxCertPh as a proof of vaccination status.

The Department of Foreign Affairs also has Samoa, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Switzerland, Syria, Timor Leste, Tunisia, Turkey, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, and the USA are on the list.
