Boracay, Palawan clinch spots in Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards 2024

Boracay and Palawan were hailed among Best Islands in the Asia Pacific.

The islands of Boracay and Palawan have once again been recognized as they landed among the Best Islands at this year's Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific.

According to the organization's website, Palawan clinched the third spot, while Boracay landed in the fourth place of the category.

The two local spots joined other neighboring islands on the list. Thailand's Koh Samui emerged as the top Best Island in the category.

This is followed by the islands of Bali, Phuket, Sri Lanka, Sumba, Penang, Koh Phi Phi, and Phu Quoc to complete the top 10 of the category.

Aside from the best islands in the region, Travel + Leisure also recognized top 10 of city hotels; beach, island + upcountry resorts; hotel general managers; hotel pools; and hotel spas this year.

In the Philippines, Conrad Manila topped the City Hotels category, while Shangri-La Boracay was first in the Beach Island Upcountry Resorts category.

For best hotel pools, Plantation Bay Resort and Spa took the cake, while The Farm at San Benito topped the Hotel Spas category in the Philippines.
