The Bungan-Bungan cold spring was only opened to the public in 2017, but its fame is already spreading far and wide.

Temperatures continue to rise in the country as the summer season remains, so you can't blame Filipinos for traveling and looking for a place where they can cool down.

One of the destinations that Good News Kasama si Vicky Morales discovered is a cold spring in the province of Aklan. But How does one get there and how much is the entrance fee?

The Bungan-Bungan cold spring can be found in the town of Nabas, Aklan. Depending on how quickly you can walk, the Bungan-Bungan cold spring can be reached anywhere between five to 10 minutes of walking. Because it is located in the forest, trekking to the cold spring isn't as arduous a trek as one would expect.

According to Chris Montoya, the officer-in-charge of Bungan-Bungan cold spring, the name of the place came from a saying among the town elders that there is always cold water spurting from any side of the spring. The spring was discovered by a local from Barangay Laserna but was only opened to the public back in 2017.

Because of its location in the forest and the lack of cellphone signal in the area, the Bungan-Bungan cold spring is a great destination not just to cool down but also to reconnect with Mother Nature. But one thing that will definitely catch the attention of travelers is the fact that the location does not charge an entrance fee.

Chris Montoya says he is happy that the Bungan-Bungan cold spring continues to gain fame. According to him, it's nice to hear and heartwarming to know that more and more people know of the location.
