PS5 Pro is coming soon and here are the things you should know

Are you ready for the arrival of the new PS5?

PlayStation finally unveiled the new PS5 Pro Console last Tuesday, September 10, and gamers from all over the world are excited to get their hands on this new technology.

The company released the reveal trailer of the console and highlighted the new features that games could expect on its release.

“Introducing the next leap in console gaming,” PlayStation wrote Tuesday.

According to the video, the new PS5 Pro is going to be enhanced with PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) that will let gamers experience “super sharp image clarity” on 4K TV with the help of AI-enhanced resolution for “ultra-high definition play with astonishing detail.”

However, the PSSR is only available for selected PS5 games that have been updated for PS5 Pro.

They also highlighted high frame rates gameplay that every user will love, as well as the advanced ray tracing that will let gamers “experience next level realism with ray traced reflections, shadows, and high-quality global illumination as you explore stunning game worlds.”

To top it all off, PS5 Pro players can enjoy a wider variety of games with higher resolutions and frame rates, thanks to its 2TB of SSD storage.

Pre-orders will open on September 26, 2024, via direct.playstation.com, and on October 10, 2024 participating retailers are also set to accept pre-orders.

According to reports, the PlayStation 5 Pro will come out on November 7, 2024, and will cost $699.99 or PhP 39,315.99 based on current exchange rates.
