According to the family's official statement, Jiggly “passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, at 4:42 a.m., surrounded by her loving family and close friends.” The news of her passing came just days after her family shared an update about her health condition and told the public that Jiggly “lost most of her right leg due to a severe infection.” Jiggly Caliente, whose real name was Bianca Castro, rose to fame after she joined the fourth season of the original US version of RuPaul's Drag Race. She was also one of the judges of Drag Race Philippines. Her passing brought sorrow to her fellow drag queens, like Manila Luzon, Bianca Del Rio, Phi Phi O'Hara, and more, who shared online their grief and message to Jiggly.
