Beabadoobee's new music video for the 'Glue Song' is all about representation.

Last Valentine's Day, London-based Filipina singer Beabadoobee released her new song “Glue Song” and its artsy music video on various streaming platforms.

“Glue Song” is a sweet track about falling in love with someone you're purely attached to, like you're stuck with them like glue.

The accompanying music video was a treat for Filipino fans of Beabadoobee as it captures the singer's Filipino roots and her hometown Iloilo. It starts off with the musician paying respects to her grandmother.

For the entirety of the video, Beabadoobee was spotted in a field of grass, riding a jeepney and a tricycle, cooking and spending time with her grandmother, singing in front of kids playing outside, and being kissed in a traditional bahay kubo.

On her social media accounts, she shared, “Glue song music video out now! I've never smiled so big in a music video before. I wanted to capture how beautiful Iloilo is as I haven't seen much of it on the internet and i needed that when I was growing up.”

In the same thread, the singer further explained, “A lot of people I love are in this music video, so you guys are seeing a little exclusive snapshot of my life, my lolo planted all those trees in that bit where I walking around in, my lola's house is where I grew up in and visited every year once i moved to london.”

Despite being a successful indie artist, Beabadoobee has always been proud of her Filipino roots. Last September 2022, she even brought her 2022 BEATOPIA Asia Tour to the country where she was born.

Beabadoobee is known for her songs “death bed,” “Tired,” “the perfect pair,” and “Coffee.”
