Election-related topics top Google's 'Year in Search 2022' in PH

Google has finally released its annual “Year in Search,” which shows the most-searched topics for the year. This includes trends, news, personalities, and shows, among others.
In the Philippines, two election-related topics clinched places in the top trending searches, given the presidential elections last May.
“Halalan 2022” was the top overall trending search, while “precinct finder" landed in the third spot.
In a press release, Google said, “Filipinos searched for information regarding the 2022 national elections from how to find their precincts, voting resources, and results.”
“VaxCertPH” was the second overall top trending search of the year, moving up two places from its fourth position in the list last year.

Google said the results of the “Year in Search” still showcased Filipinos's affinity with online content, with five of the top 10 spots filled with games and media topics.
The popular online word game, Wordle, took fourth place, while Axie Infinity placed ninth overall.
The Korean series All of Us Are Dead is the fifth most-searched overall and the Disney movie Encanto is at number eight. “Jeffrey Dahmer” ranked 10th after Netflix's series, Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story.
Meanwhile, “Warriors vs Celtics” was sixth in the list, followed by Ukraine in seventh.
