Viva Magenta is Pantone's 2023 Color of the Year
Pantone has finally revealed the Color of the Year for 2023 and this time, it will come from the family of red.
In an article, Pantone announced that 2023's color is Viva Magenta 18-1750, which it said “vibrates with vim and vigor.”
The color is meant to embrace braveness and fearlessness as Pantone said Viva Magenta is “powerful and empowering.”
“It is a new animated red that revels in pure joy, encouraging experimentation and self-expression without restraint, an electrifying, and a boundaryless shade that is manifesting as a stand-out statement,” it continued.
Pantone added that the color “welcomes anyone and everyone with the same verve for life and rebellious spirit.”
Last year, Pantone assigned Very Peri as the 2022 Color of the Year, “as a symbol of the global zeitgeist of the moment and the transition we are going through.”
