The trading card is so rare that even Drake bought 10 cases to locate it.

Trading card collectors, basketball fans, and fans of LeBron James are sure to be scrambling to acquire the rare “Triple Logoman” card that has been dubbed as the “Holy Grail.” But will they have the deep pockets for it?

As reported by Reuters, the auction company Goldin will be selling the single-issue card released by Panini as part of its “Flawless” collection back in 2020. The card features the patches of the jerseys LeBron wore during his time playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers, the Miami Heat, and the Los Angeles Lakers. The auction is expecting it to fetch more than $6 million, or P317,397,000 million based on current exchange rates.

The one-of-a-kind collectible is longed for by collectors, with rap superstar Drake even buying 10 cases of the “Flawless” collection cards to find the “Triple Logoman.”

This would not be the first time that a LeBron James card has brought in blockbuster prices. Last year, an “ultra-rare” rookie card that was signed by LeBron sold in an auction for $5.2 million or P275,077,400, based on current exchange rates.

The sale of trading cards - whether of sports stars or anything else - can bring in high prices, depending on the rarity of the card. Back in March, a Pokémon card sold for $420,000 or P22,217,790, based on current exchange rates.

The card, a rare 1999 Pokemon Base Set Shadowless 1st Edition Holo Charizard card, set “the all-time record for a base set Charizard card,” according to the PWCC March Premier Auction house.

Other pop culture collectibles that have sold for exorbitant prices include Andy Warhol's Short Sage Blue Marilyn which sold for $195 million or P10,315,402,500 at an auction last May.

Less than a week ago, Christie's auction house announced that it would start bidding for a first edition copy of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone at $250,000 or P13,224,875, based on current exchange rates.
