How Andi Eigenmann's family celebrated Earth Day in Siargao

In a recent video posted on their Happy Islanders Vlog, Andi Eigenmann shared what went down during their Earth Day celebration last April 22 in their hometown Siargao.
Andi and her fiance surfer Philmar Alipayo first went on a snorkeling activity conducted by S.E.A. Movement. Siargao Environmental Awareness (SEA) Movement is a nonprofit organization in the Philippines that aims to preserve the natural resources of the Siargao seas.

The snorkeling activity held at Catangnan Reef was done to record and monitor the state of its marine environment. Andi along with Philmar, the founder of S.E.A. Movement, Marja, and the surfers of Kanaway Surf School checked the coral reefs along the area and even found one that's been damaged. Along with that, Philmar was also able to find a plastic that he said seemed to be in the ocean for 10 years already.

Andi shared that Catangnan Reef is one of the 15 proposed Marine protected areas that they're all hoping to be approved by the local government unit (LGU) in Siargao.
In her vlog, she explained that having the Catangnan Reef as a Marine Sanctuary can protect the endangered animals and their homes, conserve biodiversity and prevent extinction, enhance the productivity of fish and marine invertebrate population, and ensure food security.
After their productive snorkeling adventure, Andi and their kids along with their local friends in Siargao enjoyed a well-deserved boodle fight with everyone.
Later in the afternoon, the family also joined S.E.A. Movement's beach clean-up drive in Catangnan and even had Philmar wearing a tamaya octopus mascot as a surprise for the sea patroller kids!
