Beatrice Luigi Gomez' answer to COVID-19-related question in Miss Universe 2021

Miss Universe Philippines Beatrice Luigi Gomez ended her Miss Universe journey, bowing out of the competition after the Q&A round. Misses Paraguay, India, and South Africa advanced to the Final 3.
Beatrice left the pageant after the first question and answer competition, where she was asked “Given the ever-changing COVID-19 situation, what is your opinion on mandating a universal vaccine passport?”
Beatrice responded by saying “I believe that public health is everyone's responsibility and to mandate vaccine inoculation is necessary. If mandating a vaccine passport will help us in regulating the roll-outs of vaccines and mitigate the situation of the pandemic today, then I would agree on mandating the necessary passport on vaccinations.”
Beatrice had made it to the top five after the evening gown competition, where she strutted on the runway with a slinky golden gown that showed off her tattoo, which she had earlier explained was important to her and meant to celebrate her womanhood.
Beatrice's September win of the Miss Universe Philippines crown was history-making, as it made her the first openly out member of the LGBTQIA+ community to win the crown.
Beatrice wasn't the only Filipina in the pageant, as the 2021 Miss Universe selection committee included Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera. Alongside her in the selection committee were supermodel Adriana Lima, TV host Adamari López, actresses Urvashi Rautela, Rena Sofer, Miss Universe 2016 Iris Mittenaere and Steve Harvey's daughter Lori Harvey.
