Meet the drag queen behind Taylor Sheesh

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past few weeks, you're bound to have at least heard about Taylor Sheesh, the drag queen that has been impersonating singer-songwriter Taylor Swift.

The 28-year-old drag queen - whose real name is Mac Coronel - first gained attention after her performance at an event at Trinoma mall organized by the Swifties Philippines fan group caught the attention of international media. Since then, she has performed at the Glorietta mall and at Ayala Malls Manila Bay. She has been invited to perform at the SM Mall of Asia launch party of Taylor Swift's album Midnights and to perform at Market! Market! for a very appreciative crowd.

Just recently, Taylor Sheesh was featured on American morning show Good Morning America and announced tour dates of her own, featuring shows all over Luzon and one in Mindanao. She has also had the opportunity to meet TikTok sensation Bretman Rock, who gushed over her on his TikTok.

'Drag Race' queens mourn the death of Jiggly Caliente

The colorful world of drag was met with unfortunate news on Sunday, April 27, after Jiggly Caliente's family announced her passing online. According to the family's official statement, Jiggly “passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 27, at 4:42 a.m., surrounded by her loving family and close friends.” The news of her passing came just days after her family shared an update about her health condition and told the public that Jiggly “lost most of her right leg due to a severe infection.” Jiggly Caliente, whose real name was Bianca Castro, rose to fame after she joined the fourth season of the original US version of RuPaul's Drag Race. She was also one of the judges of Drag Race Philippines. Her passing brought sorrow to her fellow drag queens, like Manila Luzon, Bianca Del Rio, Phi Phi O'Hara, and more, who shared online their grief and message to Jiggly.
