Happy International Women's Month! It's that time of the year again when we are reminded of the greatness of a woman. Women can lead, take up space, and most of all dominate. They are barrier breakers and stereotype shifters. You can't put them in a box and control them.

For years, they have been called names and were labeled with numerous titles. But not anymore. Today, they are proving their significance in every sphere they step on. Look at the likes of Michelle Yeoh, Jennifer Coolidge, and Dolly De Leon dominating their respective motion pictures and stealing the spotlight from the rest.

Alex Eala, who by the time of her wins was a wildcard contender, defeated French Open champion and world No. 25 Jelena Ostapenko and reigning Australian Open champion and world No. 5 Madison Keys. She then secured her spot in the semi-finals when she showed her Filipina strength against five-time grand slam champion world number two Iga Swiatek in the quarterfinal of the Miami Open, 6-2, 7-5, on Thursday morning, March 27. Her back-to-back feats at the Miami Open 2025 put her at no. 75 WTA rankings, a huge jump from her no. 140 spot. On Friday morning, March 28, Alex faces one of her biggest games yet, where she will go head-to-head with the world's No. 4 Jessica Pegula of the United States. Athletes conquer the 'Body of Work' runway

Local stars and personalities took over the runway of the much-awaited Bench Body of Work fashion show last March 21 at the Mall of Asia Arena. Among those who conquered the runway of the local fashion event were weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz, volleyball players Eya Laure and John Vic De Guzman, and footballer Anton Del Rosario.
