This time, two years ago, the COVID-19 virus disrupted everyone's daily routines and weekend shenanigans forcing us to stay inside our homes, keeping a distance from the rest of the world.

Everyone assumed and expected that the first lockdown will end in a matter of weeks and by then we'll be getting back to our normal lives. Unfortunately, it went way beyond that and the normal life we used to have seemed too far out of reach.

The quarantine that was supposed to last for only three weeks kept getting extended. Three weeks turned into a month. A month turned into more months and so on.

Most of us, without any single clue as to what the future entails, slowly started accepting that the pandemic might go on longer and had to find ways to cope, entertain ourselves, and stay connected with others despite the imposed physical distance.

Luckily, we live in a time where technology and social media are present and are at the palm of our hands. Thus, giving birth to new discoveries and experiences mostly gained through our screens.

Initially, everything we did at the start of the pandemic was meant to be done temporarily. But surprisingly, it became our new norm.

Known for our creativity, untamed imaginations, and ability to adapt to certain situations, we Filipinos made all attempts to make the best out of the situation we are in. With our humor and wit, there is no such thing as dull and boring that we can't turn into something amusing.

In our country, even the most unremarkable things can be turned into a sensation. Because we've got big brains that make everyday life exciting.

So, let's take a trip down memory lane to admire what fun went down during the first few months of quarantine here in the Philippines.
