Nintendo Switch 2 to launch in June - report

Fans of the Nintendo Switch need to start saving now as a report is claiming that the new gaming console is set to come out in a little over two months.
Gaming website Insider Gaming claims in an exclusive report that the Nintendo Switch 2 launch event is set to happen in June. Citing unnamed sources, the website said the June launch would not just be for the device itself but also the first phase for the launch of its games. First-party games will be launched in June, while third-party ones will be launched in October - November. The third and final phase will be during the holiday season.
Nintendo released the official teaser for the new device back in January. The Nintendo Switch 2 is the successor to the 2017 Nintendo Switch.

The Nintendo Switch 2 is just the latest handheld gaming device to hit the headlines. Earlier this month, Windows Central reported that a partner handheld device to Microsoft's popular Xbox gaming console was set to be released later this year “if plans are met”. Codenamed “Keenan”, the device is reportedly being done together with an original equipment manufacturer and will look “unmistakably Xbox”.
The past few years have seen mobile gaming become an important part of the gaming industry. It was also earlier this month when video game developer and publisher Konami announced a mobile game prequel for its popular Japanese role-playing game (JRPG) franchise, Suikoden.
Named Suikoden Star Leap, the mobile game “appears to be a traditional turn-based experience that features 2D graphics reminiscent of the HD-2D style.” It will also be a prequel to Suikoden I and a sequel to Suikoden V, according to gaming website Silicon Era.
Just like the main Suikoden games, players of Suikoden Star Leap will be able to recruit 108 Stars throughout the world and will also feature a home base that players can customize and expand. Konami will also come out with a manga featuring the game's storyline.
As of the moment, there has been no release date announced for the mobile game.
