NLEX announces full opening of the Marilao Northbound lanes

All four lanes at the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) Marilao Northbound have officially reopened after one week of renovation, the corporation announced on Tuesday night (March 25).
The lanes were made passable to motorists on Wednesday, March 26, at 1:00 a.m.
However, to ensure safety, supporting steel polls will remain on the lanes to allow concrete curing of the bridge.
“We are pleased to announce that all four lanes of Marilao Northbound will be passable to vehicles beginning 1 a.m. on March 26, 2025, ahead of the projected schedule. While all lanes will now be passable, supporting steel poles will remain on the lanes to allow concrete curing of the bridge,” NLEX wrote online.
NLEX Corporation also projected the improvement of traffic flow in Marilao Northbound and is expected to “normalize” in the next few days.
In an Unang Balita interview on March 20, NLEX senior manager for traffic operations Robin Ignacio said that the repair for the Marilao Interchange Bridge, which sustained “severe damage” after a bridge hit, would take two to three weeks.
But NLEX “accelerated the repairs,” explaining, “Originally scheduled for completion in two weeks, NLEX accelerated the repairs, with teams working around the clock and with the expedited delivery of the fabricated steel needed for the bridge.”
Meanwhile, according to comments posted on NLEX Corporation's Facebook posts, the temporary toll relief in the Northbound portion of NLEX from Balintawak to Meycauayan remains until further notice.
“Sa ngayon po ay free pa rin po ang toll sa Balintawak to Meycauayan northbound. We will announce po kapag mag-resume na ulit ang collection sa segment na ito. Ingat po,” said NLEX.
(We are still implementing the temporary toll relief in the Northbound portion of NLEX from Balintawak to Meycauayan. We will announce when toll collection starts in this area again. Take care.)
