GMA Network, DOST ink deal for 'Science Pinas'

GMA Network and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) officially sealed their partnership for the science-travel show, Science Pinas.
GMA's First Vice President for Radio Operations Glenn F. Allona and DOST Assistant Secretary Napoleon Juanillo Jr. led the digital signing on Thursday, February 13, in Pasay City.
With 13 episodes in its pipeline, Science Pinas will air on GTV every Saturday at 9:00 a.m., starting on February 15.
“Today marks the beginning of an exciting journey as we bring science closer to every Filipino household through this innovative and engaging program,” Juanillo said.
Meanwhile, Allona welcomed DOST's innovative program to the network's lineup, saying it has given GMA a “great opportunity to diversify our commitment to public service.”

Science Pinas combines science and tourism to highlight the role of science, technology, and innovation in daily lives and how it enriches industries and communities.
The program's hosts, Mark Wei and Riana Pangindian, visited several provinces in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao to feature some of its industries and its tourism offerings.
