Delivery and logistics company introduces ride-hailing service

Delivery and logistics company Lalamove has expanded its services and officially entered the ride-hailing industry.
This February, the company launched the Lalamove Ride, its ride-hailing service accessible through its existing app.
The new section in the app was made available on February 10, Monday, and has two options for passengers, Car and Car XL.
The Car option allows passengers to book a sedan that can accommodate up to four passengers, while the Car XL option allows passengers to book an SUV/MPV that can accommodate up to six passengers.
The app's newest feature currently services areas in the National Capital Region and select areas in Luzon. Here are the areas part of its network:

- Mabalacat
- San Fernando
- Mexico
- Magalang
- Santo Tomas
- San Simon

- Minalin

According to the company, the total fare for its ridesharing option is “based on multiple factors such as traffic situation, order volume, availability of driver partners, and applicable tolls.”
It also assures the safety of its passengers as it features a 24/7 In-app chat function, a real-time GPS location sharing, driver and passenger accident insurance, an SOS emergency button that connects passengers to authorities, and a strict partner driver registration process.
