Abi Marquez, dubbed Lumpia Queen, said she has always loved food and sharing it with other people.

The Philippines' Lumpia Queen, Abi Marquez, recently joined GTV's cooking talk show Lutong Bahay and shared a fun afternoon with Mikee Quintos and Kuya Dudut.

Aside from sharing her peach mango lumpia recipe, Abi also talked about her beginnings in the food content creation industry.

According to the Lumpia Queen, her being a food content creator was pushed by her love for the camera and food, which started when she was only four years old.

“Earliest memory ko (of cooking), first fried chicken, [I was] four years old,” Abi told Lutong Bahay.

“Food has been the center of my universe,” Abi added. “'Pag kasama ko 'yung playmates ko, ako 'yung magdadala ng snacks. Noong elementary, nagbebenta ako ng cookies, noong high school, nagbebenta ako ng pasta, [tapos] noong college nagbenta pa rin ako ng crinkles.”

(Food has been the center of my universe. When I was with my playmates, I would bring snacks. In elementary, I sold cookies. In high school, I sold pasta. And in college, I still sold crinkles.)

“It's really just I wanted to cook and share my food to other people, pero hindi ko ibibigay nang libre,” Abi even joked.

(It's really just I wanted to cook and share my food with other people, but I'm not doing it for free.)

Abi revealed that aside from her love for food, her being a content creator was also influenced by her love for music and the cameras.

“Online class, pandemic, nasa bahay lang ako; and 'yung background ko kasi talaga, maliban sa cooking, I like cameras. I like music. 'Yung first video nag nag-voice over ako, nag-viral na siya, and everything I posted after that went viral.”

(Online class, pandemic, I was at home. Aside from cooking, I really like cameras. I like music. The voice-over I did for a video immediately went viral and everything followed through.)

“Para sa'yo talaga. Feeling ko ni-ready ka na ni Lord…” Mikee commented.

(It is really for you. I feel like the Lord really prepared you for this.)

Abi wholeheartedly agreed and said, “I'd like to think that also. I feel like I'm in the right place right now.”
