Anthony Mackie is the new Captain America

Heads up, Marvel fans! A new star is coming your way this 2025.
Just recently, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) welcomed Anthony Mackie to play the titular character of Captain America for the 2025 movie Captain America: Brave New World.
He will replace Chris Evans who played the character from 2011 with Captain America: The First Avenger until the 2019 film Avengers: Endgame.
Anthony visited the recently held “Walt Disney Content APAC Showcase 2024” in Singapore where he talked about being the newest Captain America and what to expect in the newest MCU installment.
In a GMA News Online Report, Anthony said, “It's action-packed, it's grounded. It's just an amazing movie with a lot of great characters, so I'm excited for you guys to see the new characters-some, we're bringing back, some we're introducing.”
“There's a lot of ass-kicking so if you like ass-kicking, you'll enjoy it,” he added.
In a 24 Oras report, Anthony talked about the differences between his role as Sam Wilson/Captain America and Chris Evans, especially without the presence of Super Soldier Serum pumping through his veins.
“I don't have the serum, [...] with the serum, you can find anybody [and] you don't have to worry about anything,” he added, “With Sam, him being a counselor, he uses more of his brains than brawn. He uses more of his wit than his fist. He's more of a friend to everyone."
Before claiming the Captain America title, Anthony starred in the Disney+ 2021 miniseries The Falcon and the Winter Soldier based on Marvel Comics.
Meanwhile, reports say Captain America: Brave New World will be released on February 14, 2025.
