Kim Chiu turns emotional at her calendar girl launch
It was a night where she was being celebrated for her latest achievement as a model for an iconic calendar, but for It's Showtime host Kim Chiu, what really got her emotional was the continuing support of her fans.
During the recent launch of Kim as the new Tanduay Calendar Girl at the Lucio Tan Jr. Center in Pasay City, Kim began to tear up after she was asked if she felt any apprehension about taking on the role that Kylie Versoza, Bea Alonzo, Ivana Alawi, Ellen Adarna, Jessy Mendiola, Heart Evangelista, and Julia Barretto have taken on before her.
“Siyempre, meron pa ring doubts. Hindi naman 100 percent confidently na yes. Siyempre, the people on social media may have a lot of comments, good, bad, and everything. Everyone's valid with their opinions,” she shared while holding back tears. “But I'm just very happy that my supporters, my fans, who love and support me, they've been there with me from the beginning until now. Alam ko talaga lagi nila akong pinagtatanggol and they give me support.”

Kim's recent announcement as the newest Tanduay Calendar Girl comes after Magpasikat 2024 win, which she celebrated on her Instagram account.
