Global streaming service Max arrives in PH this November

Existing HBO Go subscriptions will soon become Max subscriptions.

Warner Bros. Discovery has officially announced the introduction global streaming service, Max, in Southeast Asia, including the Philippines, next month.

The entertainment company on Wednesday said Max would be launched in seven new markets in Asia, starting November 19, as part of the service's continuous globalization.

Max will showcase beloved movies, series, and shows from brands like HBO, Harry Potter, the DC Universe, Cartoon Network, Max Originals, Discovery, TLC, AFN, Food Network, ID, and HGTV.

Popular titles such as Harry Potter, Friends, The Last of Us, and the latest Warner Bros. blockbusters, Dune: Part Two and Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire, will be available on Max.

The HBO Original Series Dune: Prophecy will also be premiering on Max.

Warner Bros. Discovery Global Streaming & Games CEO and President JB Perrette said Asia Pacific is next in Max's global expansion. Its upcoming launch in the region marks its presence in over 72 markets.

Aside from the Philippines, Max will also arrive in Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Taiwan, and Hong Kong next month.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. Discovery noted that existing HBO GO subscriptions will become Max subscriptions on November 19.

HBO Go's email notification to their current subscribers about Max.

Max is set to offer different plans for its subscribers, with details on pricing to be announced in the coming weeks and will vary depending on country and provider.

Max's plans include Mobile (stream on one mobile device at once), Standard (stream on two devices at once), and Ultimate (stream on four devices at once).
