Billie Eilish is Spotify's top artist with most monthly listeners

It's official: American singer-songwriter Billie Eilish has the most monthly listeners on Spotify today.
Billie claimed the top spot this August after having a whopping 106,121,118 monthly listeners to date.
The singer-songwriter could not help but get overwhelmed by the support she received from her 100 million plus listeners.
“Number 1 in the world on [Spotify],” Billie said. “I really can't even believe this.”
She also addressed her fans on Instagram and said, “[I] love you all so much this is the craziest thing ever.”
According to reports, Billie surpassed some of the world's biggest pop stars and is followed by The Weeknd, Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Post Malone, Rihanna, David Guetta, Eminem, Bruno Mars, and Ariana Grande, respectively.
Spotify explained that monthly listeners are artists' “total listeners in the last 28 days,” including people who stream their songs from “active and programmed sources.”
Likewise, Chartmasters called Spotify's monthly listener a “rolling indicator” and said it is “binary” as it defines if a Spotify user “listened to an artist or not, without caring about how many songs or times the user listened to the same artist.”
Some of the chart-topping songs of Billie Eilish on Spotify today are “Lunch,” “Chihiro,” and “Wildflower.”
Of course, her hit song “Birds of a Feather” is at the top with Billie as it holds more than 800 million streams today.
It was also the song she performed at the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics handover ceremony.
