Local talents qualify for a national dance battle in September
Red Bull Philippines just named the Manila qualifiers for the classic “Red Bull Dance Your Style” last Saturday, July 27, at Octopus Makati.
After at least a total of 15 dance battles among the top 16 battlers from parts of Metro Manila and Luzon, Red Bull Philippines named Tatai, Klockwise, Q, and Kid Magnus as the region's representatives for the “Red Bull Dance Your Style” finals on September 28, 2024.

Last night's “Red Bull Dance Your Style,” however, was different from the usual dance battles in the scene because instead of inviting professional judges, the crowd and dance community present at the event had the power to vote for the best of the best.

Aside from naming the top four qualifiers for the finals in September, Red Bull Philippines also crowned locking master, Klockwise, as its “Red Bull Dance Your Style” Manila Qualifiers champion after a heart-stopping three rounds of battle with krump dancer, Kid Magnus.
In an interview with GMA Lifestyle, Klockwise was over the moon for his win at the “Red Bull Dance Your Style” Manila Qualifiers, but it did not cause him to falter and put his game face on for the national championship in September.
“Ngayon kasi, hindi ko siya maramdaman, eh; talagang gusto ko lang sumayaw,” Klockwise said, “Gusto ko lang na i-all out 'yung ginagawa kong locking. [...] hindi ko alam kung bakit hindi ako maiyak, pero sobrang unexpected ng nangyayari ngayon.”
(Right now, I cannot really feel anything; I just want to dance. I just want to be all out in locking. I don't know why I cannot even cry, but everything is just so unexpected right now.)
Klockwise also said that he is going to prepare wholeheartedly for the Nationals but not so hard as not to put pressure on himself.
He is also looking to add more floor works and make new patterns to utilize in his future battles.
“Siguro sa Nationals, mag-t-try ako maglagay ng ibang highlights like floor works, [...] and then the rest, gagawa ako ng bagong patterns [sa] style ko, which is [locking].”
(For the Nationals, I will try to do more highlights like floor works, and for the rest, I will make new patterns in my dance style, which is locking.)
