Rolling Stone is coming to the Philippines this November

American magazine Rolling Stone is confirmed to open its doors in the Philippines this November, the company said on Friday, June 14, on their social media accounts.
Rolling Stone said on Instagram, “[Rolling Stone] the iconic media brand for music and culture is arriving in the Philippines this November 2024!”
They will be under Modern Media Group Inc. (MMGI), a subsidiary of AGC Power Holdings Corp. (AGC PHC) and home of NYLON Manila and Billboard Philippines.
MMGI said they are launching Rolling Stone Philippines to “provide a unique perspective on music, entertainment, and culture, with unparalleled content that inspires and informs.”
With this, Filipinos can look forward to “thought-provoking coverage on music, lifestyle, socio-cultural issues, entertainment, and many more” much like to live up to the publication's legacy since it first launched in the United States in 1967.
Meanwhile, NYLON Manila quoted the Chief Operating Officer of Modern Media Group Inc. Anne Bernisca who shared her thoughts about the release of Rolling Stone in the Philippines.
Anne said, “Our goal is to maintain the magazine's tradition reflecting global standards while also exploring fresh perspectives and voices of the Filipino,” she added, “This expansion is a testament to our dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive media environment where all stories can be told.”
Likewise, Rolling Stone CEO Gus Wenner said their launch in the Philippines “represents a significant step in our efforts to bring the magazine's iconic voice to new markets.”
