Apple announces iOS 18

International technology giant Apple finally showed the previews of the upcoming iOS 18 last Monday, June 10, at the Worldwide Developers Conference.
While iOS 18 is still months away from its release, Apple has teased some of the many features that users of iPhone Xr to iPhone 15 Pro Max could experience once they install the updates in the fall.
One of the exciting features of iOS 18 is the enhanced home screen customizability and privacy settings. Users would be able to apply darker tints to app icons and widgets. But if they are not fans of darker tints, they can also try any colors available that iOS will suggest that complement the user's wallpaper. Users will also no longer have to worry about privacy because iOS 18 will let them put in passwords and require a face ID before opening selected applications. They can also hide applications in the meantime if they desire.
Meanwhile, the iMessage app is also getting an upgrade in terms of design and cooler features through iOS 18. Once updated, users may apply playful and animated effects to any letter, word, phrase, or emoji in the application. The system will even suggest which effects to use as users type their messages. In addition, users may also schedule a message for a specific time with Send Later.
In terms of fitness and health apps, users will be able to save hikes for offline access and create their own walking and hiking routes to use in the future.
Notes will also have a live audio transcription and an added mini problem solver that lets users enter an expression and have it solved while typing.
Aside from the above-mentioned, Apple also added new features on mail, calendar, safari, accessibility, calculator, and many more that will soon be available upon the release of iOS 18.
