'Moana 2' releases new teaser; to hit PH theaters later this year

This 2024, Disney is releasing a new sequel in theaters as it finally released the teaser trailer for Moana 2 on Wednesday, May 29, online.
Disney fans and Moana's avid supporters are over the moon after Moana (Auli'l Cravalho) and Maui (Dwayne Johnson) reunite as seen in the teaser.
Moana 2's teaser trailer starts with its lead, Moana, gives a new shell to a hermit crab and blows a conch or seashell horn on the beach. It was followed by the view of the island of Motunui, and its people together with Moana's parents, Tui (Temuera Morrison) and Sina (Nicole Scherzinger).
Later, it shifts to a scene where Moana is doing drum beats only to be welcomed by another crowd-favorite character, Hei Hei the Rooster (Alan Tudyk).
Together, they are seen sailing the ocean, as well as Pua the Pig and the beautiful creatures of the ocean. Moana then says: “This is a call from the ancestors - to sail to new skies and reconnect our people across the entire ocean.”
Then Moana faces a huge whale shark, complete with glowing marks, which fans are extremely looking forward to seeing on the big screen.

Of course, the gang is not complete without the demigod of the Wind and Sea, Maui, who exhibits his shape-shifting abilities transforming from a shark into an eagle.
Maui, like the funny character he is, even threw a pun and grabbed Hei Hei and Pua. He joked, “Boat snack upgrade! Bacon and eggs?”
Moana 2 is set to hit Philippine theaters on November 27, 2024.
Reports also said there will be a live-action adaptation of Moana that will be released in 2026.
