The Filipino Festival announces Music Fest finalists

Three aspiring Filipino musicians may just get the biggest break in their career as The Filipino Festival recently announced the finalists for the event's upcoming music festival.
In a post on The Filipino Festival official Instagram account, the organizers announced that the artists Daniel Temporada, Marie Angelica Dayao, and Edmund Perlas and C-Tru were the finalists for the inaugural The Filipino Festival Music Fest. Daniel Temporada entered with the song “Dito Pa Rin Ako.” while Marie Angelica Dayao did it for the song “Higit Pa Sa Ganda.” Finally, Edmund Perlas and C-Tru got in with the song “My Superstar.”
The organizers teased that people should look forward to the music of the three finalists at the Music Fest, as well as performances from special guests.
It was just at the start of this month that The Filipino Festival organizers first called for entries to the festival's Music Fest. Aside from the promise of “exciting prizes,” winners will also have the opportunity to perform during the Miss Universe Philippines, Mister Pilipinas Worldwide, and The Miss Philippines pageants.
The call for aspiring musicians came after the organizers of the Filipino Festival called on student and professional filmmakers to apply to its Film Fest. Like the aspiring musicians, participants in the Film Fest will get to turn the stories of the Miss Universe Philippines delegates into digital films and documentaries.
The Filipino Festival has also called on local fashion designers to participate in the festival's Fashion Fest, also with the promise to “get the chance to work with Miss Universe Philippines, The Miss Philippines, and Mister Pilipinas Worldwide” and be highlighted during The Filipino Festival.
The Filipino Festival is set to launch this October and is “a celebration of everything Filipino from food, arts and crafts, music, fashion, film, and even pageants.”
