Celebrate Pride Month at this Pride March and Festival in Manila
It's the month to celebrate and honor the LGBTQIA+ community, which also means it's time for the annual Pride celebrations.
The annual Pride March and Festival organized by the Metro Manila Pride is happening this June 24, Saturday, at the Circuit Events Grounds in Makati City.
“Isang mapagpalayang PRIDE MONTH, mga mahal! TAYO ang KULAYAAN!” the organization said in their social media post.
The theme for this year's festivities is, “Tayo ang Kulayaan! Samot-saring Lakas, Sama-sama sa Landas!”
No other details about the pride march and festival have been released yet, but registration is now open.
The annual Pride March is not only a celebration but also a mass protest.
Metro Manila Pride said they aim to “strengthen a sense of belonging and solidarity among LGBTQIA+ people” through the yearly event.
“Each year, we honor the Filipino LGBTQIA+ community by creating a space that uplifts and emboldens us to gather together to challenge Philippine institutions by calling for radical change,” the organization said in their website.
