Newly released 'Barbie' trailer proves Barbie Land isn't all rainbows and sunshine
As we draw a little bit closer to the release of film director Greta Gerwig's live-action remake of Barbie, we are being given more glimpses of what to expect in the highly-anticipated film.
Warner Bros. Pictures recently released a new trailer for Barbie and it highlights Margot Robbie's Barbie transition from the pink, perfect, and happy life of Barbie Land to every single little thing going wrong.
The video started off with the happy life in Barbie Land, as Robbie's character parties and dances off with the other Barbies and Kens she is suddenly hit with a dark thought, “Do you guys ever think about dying?”
From then on, everything went into chaos. Barbie can no longer fly, she's getting cold showers, and worst of them all, she has flat feet. This existential crisis she's going through led her to leave the plastic world and discover the wonders of the real world.
Ryan Gosling's Ken goes with her on her journey to search for the truth and soon as they arrive, a series of misfortune events happen. They both were put to jail, Ken is set to take an appendectomy, and a lot other more stuff.
In the trailer, it was also revealed that the CEO of Mattel, played by Will Ferrell, will do everything in his power to put Barbie back to where she belongs.

Barbie is set to be released in theaters on July 21, 2023.
