Kick off Pride Month at this ball-themed party!

There is still a little over a month to go before the start of this year's Pride Month celebrations, but members of the LGBTQIA+ community looking to start the month off with a bang do not need to look that far as a “first of its kind” celebration is scheduled to start on the first day of June.
The Manila Pride Ball, which bills itself as the first of its kind to come up with a ball-themed pride celebration in the Philippines, is going to be held on June 1, 2023 at KAO Night & Day Club on the second floor of the Newport World Resorts in Pasay City. The event will start at 9:00 p.m. onwards.
Organized by Fire and Ice Media & Productions, The IdeaFirst Company, Love Yourself PH, CreaZion Studios and ZEEN, the Manila Pride Ball is “a celebration of love, acceptance, and diversity” and “an opportunity for the LGBTQ+ community to come together and show the world that they are proud to be who they are.”
While details on the entrance fee and performers are still to be announced, there definitely won't be a shortage of celebrity members and supporters of the LGBTQIA+ community to take part in the celebration.
Last year saw beauty queens like Beatrice Luigi Gomez, Michelle Dee, and Catriona Gray express their support for Pride Month and the LGBTQIA+ community.
Last year, Miss Universe finalist Beatrice took part in a life insurance company's events for the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia, or IDAHOBIT 2022.
For her part, Michelle Dee raised money for LGBTQIA+ organizations through a special edition T-shirt by the brand COS, who donated 100 percent of the profits to specific LGBTQIA+ organizations.
Aside from being recognized by the Miss Universe organization as “part of its LGBTQIA+ history,” Catriona also publicly called out the 2020 arrest of LGBTQIA+ activists who held a protest at Mendiola.
