A24 releases trailer for 'Talk To Me'

Most horror films have claimed that their plot is the scariest or spookiest out there that it tends to lead to so much disappointment when it fails to meet expectations. But this new A24 film is defying all odds as they keep it subtle and let others do the talk.
Tons of international publications have labeled horror film Talk To Me's trailer to be one of the most frightening short clips out there. Phrases such as “scary as hell,” “2023's scariest horror movie so far,” and the like were spotted in most titles.
Last April 11, American independent entertainment company A24 released the trailer for the horror film Talk To Me. The eerie teen horror film first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival last January and was picked up by A24.
On A24's website, the plot goes, “When a group of friends discover how to conjure spirits using an embalmed hand, they become hooked on the new thrill, until one of them goes too far and unleashes terrifying supernatural forces.”
A true horror fan would know that the premise had nothing new to offer in this genre but the trailer proved it has something more to it than most. It opens up with two teen girls who are watching a video of what seems like a possessed girl. Mia (Sophie Wilde), coping with the loss of her mom, takes an interest in the ritual.
A few seconds into the trailer and you already empathize with the main character as she clings to an object she thinks will help her in her mourning. But alas, like all other horror films, there are consequences when trying to reach the dead.
Talk To Me is directed by YouTube stars Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou. Reviews from various publications state, “A terrifying horror breakout,” “Goes straight for the jugular,” “Skin-crawling demonic horror,” and “Bone-chilling.”
According to the trailer, the upcoming horror film will be released in theaters on July 28, 2023.
