Gabbi Garcia decorates her Christmas tree for the holiday season

In a newly uploaded vlog on her YouTube channel, Sparkle artist Gabbi Garcia shared how she and event stylists Dave Sandoval and Ernest Pascual of Bespoke Manila turned her Christmas tree into a very Filipino look!
At first glance, Gabbi's tree will immediately give off a homey feel from Filipinos as it is covered with ornaments that give it its modern Pinoy vibe. Sandoval explains, “Since Paskong Pinoy ang theme or parang medyo ang approach natin is modern Filipino not necessarily naman na dapat all Pinoy elements. Pwede pa rin naman tayo gumamit ng old decors but kailangan mag match pa rin sa theme. So ang napiling kong old decors is yung mga rose gold na balls.”
"'Yung mga Filipino elements natin capiz parols from Pampanga, sinamay angels, and the tampipi or the traditional containers ng mga Pinoy. Tapos meron din tayong mga rattan balls, deers made out of coconut husk or bunot. We have the sungka and the traditional Pinoy bag,” explains Sandoval and Pascual.
According to Sandoval, the key to creating a modern Filipino Christmas tree is to pay attention to the elements. Make sure that everything you're putting on your tree is in-theme. Another tip is to avoid crowding the Christmas tree to leave enough room to appreciate its form. To do this, arrange your lights by starting on the inside of the tree and then slowly work your way to the outside.
