Notes of the Philippine culture in every sip.

Filipinos have continuously proven their talents and skills know no bounds as they dominate a wide range of spheres and industries may it be on the local or the international scene.

Actresses such as Dolly De Leon and Jasmine Curtis-Smith have represented the country in various international film festivals such as the Academy Awards aka the Oscars, the Golden Globes, the BAFTAs, and Sundance. Dolly even received numerous nominations for her role in the film The Triangle of Sadness in some of these highly-regarded festivals.

Sparkle artists Kyline Alcantara and Gabbi Garcia are honorary ambassadors of Korea and Taiwan, respectively. Filipino-owned restaurants located in the United States, namely, Kasama, Soseki Modern Omakase, and Kadence are also cementing their stance in the food industry having received Michelin stars.

Adding to the long list of accomplished Filipinos is multi-awarded street, graffiti, and visual artist and designer Quiccs who recently collaborated with Johnnie Walker to launch four exclusive Blue Label whisky designs under the brand's limited edition artist series.

The newest Johnnie Walker Luxury Artist Series collection features Quiccs' insignia artistry and character, the TEQ63, on the posh Blue Label bottle. With these four new designs, Filipinos can once again walk with pride and revel in the greatness of being Filipino.

Quiccs shares, “TEQ63 represents myself and my inspirations - Japanese robots, graffiti, and hip-hop culture. The illustrations I designed for the Johnnie Walker Artist Series are a visual representation of how the TEQ63 character and my brand have naturally evolved and improved throughout the years.”

The “Dragon,” “OG Blue,” and “Lighting” bottle designs highlight Quiccs' TEQ63 trademark character in cool, hip, and vibrant streetwear. The “Manila Killa” bottle, on the other hand, is the epitome of Filipino representation as it sees the TEQ63 character clad in a jacket inspired by the flag of the Philippines.

Last March 16, Quiccs launched the new bottle designs to the public at the Secret Fresh Gallery in San Juan. During the intimate launch, Quiccs also set an auction of two exclusive TEQ63 figures to help out provide education for children and assist cancer patients in their journey.

Quiccs admits, “Our family went through a lot with the cancer disease because my dad died of prostate cancer back in 2014. It's kind of significant to me rin because after my dad died, dun ako nag fifth gear. That's when I realized na life is quite short. So I really pushed it to the max in terms of my art and my campaign. And also my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer back in 2018 but luckily, she's cancer-free now. I've always been thinking na parang ang hirap for families that are less fortunate to go through what we did.”

With a passion for art and his advocacy, Quiccs is, no doubt, one of the most well-lauded Filipino artists of our time. He remains to be a humble figure despite the numerous accolades under his belt, making him truly one of the best inspirations of this generation.

According to Quiccs' post on Instagram, the “OG Blue” and “The Dragon” bottles are both exclusively available for purchase at the Secret Fresh Gallery while “Manila Killa” will be exclusively available at SnR Membership Shopping outlets.
