PH breweries win at the 2022 Asia Beer Championship

Local breweries proved their caliber after bagging several awards at the recently concluded 2022 Asia Beer Championship, which recognizes the best beers and breweries in the region.
Elias Wicked Ales & Spirits emerged as the Philippines' Country Champion Brewery this year, after winning two bronze medals and five Chairman's Selections Awards.
Elias' Lost In Japan clinched bronze in the American Wheat Beer Category, while the brewery's Proppa Pale Ale won bronze in the European Pale Ale Category.
Five beers from Elias were also part of the Chairman's Selection namely, There She Gose for Gose, Weisse Khalifa for Sour Beer, California Creamin' for Golden Ale, Kalamansi Cream Ale for Fruit Flavored Beer, and Sisa Saison for Experimental Beer.
Mitchell's Backyard Brewery likewise secured two bronze medals for their Backyard Harmony IPA under the American Style IPA Category and Vanilla Porter under the Porter Category.
Meanwhile, Engkanto Brewery and Treeline Ales were also among the Chairman's Selection.
Engkanto's Live It Up Lager was part of the International Lager Category, while Treeline's Hullabaloo Neipa was among the selected for the New England/Hazy Style IPA Category.
The annual Asia Beer Championship aims to provide “a trusted quality benchmark for consumers as well as independent feedback to the regions' brewers.”
