Diet Coke names model Kate Moss as new creative director

A supermodel and a carbonated drink isn't the first combination one may think of, but a supermodel and a diet carbonated drink are now going to be linked together as Diet Coke has recently named Kate Moss as its creative director.
The Guardian reports that Kate Moss was named the beverage's creative director on Friday, July 1, as part of the drink's 40th anniversary. As the creative director, she will be overseeing events, advertising campaign films, and a collection.
A photo of Kate Moss with a Diet Coke can was posted on both the Kate Moss Instagram account and the Diet Coke Great Britain account. The drink's latest tagline, “Love what you love,” was in the caption.
Kate said that she is “thrilled to join the Diet Coke family” and made a reference to the other fashion names that have previously worked with the drink. Before Kate Moss, some of the big fashion names that Diet Coke has worked with include Marc Jacobs, Jean Paul Gaultier, and Karl Lagerfeld.
Coca-Cola's integrated experience director for Europe, Michael Willeke, said that it was an honor to appoint Kate Moss to the position, and that they look forward to her continuing Diet Coke's rich history of collaborating with some of the biggest names in fashion and culture.”
This isn't the first collaboration that the soda company has entered into this year. Last month, the company and the Brown-Forman Corporation behind the Jack Daniel's whiskey entered a partnership to produce a ready-to-drink version of the popular Jack Daniel's whiskey-Coke cocktail drink.
