Popular whiskey-cola cocktail will soon be available in a ready-to-drink can

Are you tired of getting the right proportions of your Jack Daniel's and Coke cocktail mix? Well, later this year you won't have to worry about that anymore since Brown-Forman Corporation and The Coca-Cola Company have partnered together to put the classic bar cocktail mix in a ready-to-drink (RTD) can.

The new pre-mixed cocktail drink will be made with Jack Daniel's Tennessee Whiskey and Coca-Cola soft drink and will also be available in a zero-sugar or sugar-free version.
CEO and President of Brown-Forman Corporation, Lawson Whiting, shares in a press release, “This relationship brings together two classic American icons to deliver consumers a taste experience they love in a way that is consistent, convenient, and portable.”
From can to packaging, the new RTD cocktail will encapsulate both Coca-Cola and Jack Daniel's trademarks. Along with that, it will come with clear responsibility symbols as an indication that the pre-mixed cocktail will be allowed for legal-aged drinkers only.
The Jack and Coke in a can will be initially launched in Mexico and later on be made available in markets around the world. A Brown-Forman spokesperson shared to CNN Business that the reason behind this decision is because the country has a well-developed ready-to-drink market and both brands are popular there.
Lawson further shares in the press release, “Brown-Forman has been a leader in the ready-to-drink category since we launched our first Jack Daniel's RTD more than 30 years ago. Coca-Cola perfectly complements Jack Daniel's and our existing RTD offerings, enabling us to accelerate expansion and continue to grow our business around the world.”
James Quincey, Chairman and CEO of The Coca-Cola Company also said in the press release, “We are excited about our new relationship with Brown-Forman and look forward to the introduction of Jack Daniel's & Coca-Cola.”
The new drink is said to be the fourth alcoholic beverage to be added to Coca-Cola's impressive portfolio. The company has also collaborated with Molson Coors Beverage to create alcoholic beverages such as Simply Spiked Lemonade and Topo Chico Hard Seltzer.
