Check out this soy sauce made from coconut

When it comes to products made from coconut, soy sauce is probably the one thing you'd least expect. But Biyahe ni Drew (https://www.gmanetwork.com/gtv/magazine/biyahe_ni_drew/videos#about-section) got to know one family in Quezon Province who thought of this and made coco-toyo or coconut sauce.
Coconut sauce comes from the coconut juice that copra farmers usually ignore or throw away. What the family of Mary Bleselle Herrera Amador does is keep this juice and boil it for hours until the coco-toyo comes out.
The process starts with collecting the coconut juice and boiling it over a strong fire. Mary Bleselle's family watches over it until it reaches the right color and texture and does not add preservatives, food coloring, or additives to it.
Mary Bleselle's family sells the coconut sauce for P150 to P240, depending on the size. It can be used as a salad dressing, for stir fry, or for a marinade or a dip.
Coconut sauce is just one of the products that can be made from coconut. Branches of the coconut tree that have fallen can be used to make walis tingting, which can be sold for P10 each.

Coco-toyo or coconut sauce is just one of the unique products that Biyahe ni Drew has tried out in its travels. They've also tried out the grasshopper snack of South Cotabato, the bulalo-flavored ice cream that can be bought from ice cream vendor Cris Soriano at the Tanuan, Batangas public market, the snack made from hubok or ants in Zambales, and Bocaue, Bulacan's sinuso.
