New poll names Chickenjoy as best fast food fried chicken in the US
There's no question that Jollibee Chickenjoy is a Filipino favorite, but a new poll conducted by an American publication may just prove that Chickenjoy is fast becoming an international favorite as well.
Jollibee Chickenjoy emerged as the top pick of USA Today readers from a list compiled by the publication's editors and a “panel of quick-service dining experts”. Jollibee Chickenjoy triumphed over other brands like Bojangles, Chick-fil-A, and Popeyes.
In the write up, Chickenjoy was described as Jollibee's “juicy, flavorful fried chicken” and recommended that it be eaten with the restaurant chain's “silky gravy”. The official US Jollibee Instagram account trumpeted the recognition in one of its posts, attributing the honor to all of the fans.

This isn't the first time that Jollibee Chickenjoy has been named as the best fast food chicken. Back in 2022, food website Eater named it as the best fast food friend chicken in the United States. Other brands mentioned in Eater's list were McDonald's, Popeyes, Wendy's, Church's, Burger King, White Castle, Chick-fil-A, Shake Shack, Fuku, Bojangles, Bonchon, Wingstop, Panda Express, and Del Taco.
It's not just Jollibee's Chickenjoy that is getting applauded either. Just last year, chef Joshua Weissman named Jollibee's chicken sandwich as the best in the United States. The Jollibee chicken sandwich beat out sandwiches from other restaurants like Bojangles, Shake Shack, Popeyes, Wendy's, and McDonald's.
