South Korean fried chicken resto opens 2nd PH store in QC

In less than a year after opening its first store in the Philippines, South Korea's bb.q Chicken opens its second store at Robinsons Magnolia in Quezon City.
Dubbed as “Best of the Best Quality Chicken,” the popular South Korean fried chicken chain was brought to the Philippines by former Ilocos Sur Luis “Chavit” Singson's LCS Group together with Genesis BBQ. It was first introduced to the country when it opened its first branch at Central Square in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig, last November 2022.
During the opening of the second branch on Sunday, July 16, Singson said that his company intends to expand further by inviting more investors and franchisees.
“Itong bb.q Chicken, galing Korea 'to na puwede lahat ng investor, pinapa-franchise, so everybody is qualified, puwede sa lahat. Sa Korea, may chicken university. So lahat ng mga chef, franchisee, mag-aaral do'n ng two months.”
Basta makahanap kayo ng lugar, aaprubahan lang nila and, of course, 'yung hitsura,”
Singson was referring to Genesis BB.Q's Chicken University in South Korea, which developed the recipe for its widely known fried chicken.
Filipinos who are fond of watching K-drama may be familiar with bb.q Chicken because its crispy fried chicken have been featured in popular Korean series such as Crash Landing On You, The King: Eternal Monarch, and Goblin.
The restaurant boasts its healthier preparation by using olive oil for frying. Each chicken is generously coated in a variety of flavors, including honey garlic, soy garlic, parmesan cheese, galbi. Of course, it wouldn't be an authentic Korean fried chicken if it's not spicy. Its Gangnam style chicken is coated in a black pepper sauce with garlic and onions, while its spiciest flavor is called the Wings of Fire.
According to Singson's daughter, Vanessa Singson, who is in charge of the second branch, diners also like their other popular Korean food offerings such as tteokbokki, kimchi fried rice, fried dumplings, and cheesling fries.
