Chloe Magno shares her thoughts on being Vogue PH's first cover model

Chloe Magno, the Filipino-American model who is now the first cover model of Vogue Philippines, shared her thoughts about the historic cover on her Instagram account.
In her latest post, Chloe called the cover a “product of love” and that she couldn't begin to describe what the cover meant to her.
Chloe shared that despite being in the fashion and modeling industry for a decade, the crew she worked with at Vogue Philippines was more “dedicated, hardworking, and joyous” than any she has worked with before.
She also wrote that the cover feature, which is 36 pages and includes photographs shot in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao by photographer Sharif Hamza, was done in the space of a week and involved getting on “planes, bangkas, and tricycles” as well as trekking through cliffside forests and “climbing across daunting rock formations.”
Finally, Chloe described the photos as “a dedication to the beauty and spirit every Filipino person holds in their heart” and declared that it has been “the greatest honor” of her life and career to represent the country.
Aside from the cover for Vogue Philippines, Chloe has also been on the cover of the March issue of Vogue Korea. She has also been in editorials for American Vogue, British Vogue, and Vogue Thailand.
The launch of Vogue Philippines was first announced back in January, with designer Bea Valdes named editor-in-chief back in April.
Vogue Philippines would have been the magazine's 29th edition if not for the closure of Vogue Russia back in April due to “censorship.”
Aside from Chloe's cover feature, Vogue Philippines also features editorials on emerging Filipino designers, modern interpretations of the terno, and a feature on regenerative fashion.
