The Fendi x Kim Kardashian partnership earned $1 million in 1 minute

It looks like Kim Kardashian has another success on her hands as TMZ reports that her collaboration with Italian fashion house Fendi have made $1 million in one minute.

Citing sources with “direct knowledge,” TMZ says that the collection is essentially sold out and is set to become the biggest launch day in the history of SKIMS, Kim's fashion brand that collaborated with Fendi for the ready-to-wear collection.

According to People magazine, prices for the pieces in the collection range from $950 for form-fitting dresses and tops to $4,200 for a leather wrap-dress that is reportedly already sold out.

The partnership came about after Kim Jones, Fendi's creative director, noticed how positively the female staff of the company were reacting to a new SKIMS drop.

“Suddenly, all the women went silent and started looking at their phones. I didn't know what was going on, but they were waiting for the launch of the new Skims collection. It was then that I thought: Let's do something together,” he recalled.

After discussing the collaboration, Kim Jones and Kim Kardashian met for a fitting session in March of this year.

“I really like to be a fit model ... I need to feel it,” she said. “I probably do so much more work than people assume, that might not even be necessary at this point. But I do it.”

This new success is bound to further increase the value of SKIMS, which was already valued at $1.6 billion in June of this year. The brand's success has also led to Kim Kardashian being recognized by the Wall Street Journal at their annual Innovator Awards.
