Meet the fashion designers behind the Filipinianas at the Presidential Inauguration

Coming from a family of fashion icons, local designer Vania Romoff has breathed fashion all throughout her life. As she carved her own path in the industry, she was able to create and build a trade she calls her own, featuring sophisticated feminine pieces. Aside from Isabelle Daza, Vania Romoff had dressed other prominent figures such as Leni and Jillian Robredo, Liz Uy, Kelsey Meritt, and others.

Some of his favorite artists to dress are Heart Evangelista, Pia Wurtzbach, and Kylie Versoza, just to name a few.

First Lady Liza Araneta's vintage Piña traje de mestiza was created by Filipino fashion designer Lesley Mobo.

Born on the island of Nabas in Aklan, local fashion designer Lesley Mobo has always kept his roots especially when he creates his terno pieces. He had dressed international artists such as Kate Moss, Lea Seydoux, and Lana del Rey, but there's always a hint of Filipino culture in his ensembles. Just like what he did with First Lady Liza Araneta's Filipiniana that was hand-loomed and hand-embroidered by artisans in Batangas.

Imee Marcos opted for a brightly colored modern Filipiniana gown that features restored lockets, chains, and pendants which are all gifts from her father. She designed the gown herself but had it made by fashion designer Rem Divino.

Local fashion designer Rem Divino is famous for being the fashion designer of former president Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. His masterpieces are heavily influenced by the films he had seen, and often, others would notice the semblance between his designs and his inspirations, but of course, with a distinction of his own.

Emmeline Villar graced the Presidential Inauguration in a sophisticated and dainty Puey Quinones masterpiece.

Puey Quiñones has dressed various celebrities from international to local ones like Michelle Williams, Katy Perry, Kris Aquino, and others.
