Viy Cortez to address netizens' concerns about her sunscreen brand

Social media personality and entrepreneur Viy Cortez announced on Wednesday, March 27, that a special video is underway to address netizens' and beauty influencers' concerns about her sunscreen brand, Sunshade.
“Gagawa po ako [video] para po ma address lahat ng concern sa Sunshade,” said Viy. “Sa ngayon po [five] days na po tayo na walang nilalabas na Sunshade since lahat ng retention samples ay under investigation…”
(I will make a video to address all your concerns regarding Sunshade. We have not released a new batch of Sunshade for five days now since all retention samples are under investigation.)
Over the past few weeks, netizens and beauty influencers shared their experiences and feedback on Viy Cortez's product -- some positive and some negative.
Some reviews said the sunscreen has a watery texture and leaves residues once applied to the skin. Users also said they had difficulties blending the product, which took longer than the average sunscreen application.
Beauty content creator Wear Sunscreen also uploaded a video raising their concern about the inconsistency of Viy's product, saying the PR kit and actual products online have different formulations.

Meanwhile, Viy said on her Facebook account that she will address the issue raised by the content creator.
She also reassured netizens and consumers about the quality control of her brand.
“[H]inding-hindi ko po ito ibabalik sa market [nang] hindi ko naaayos at [na-address] ang mga concern,” Viy wrote online.
(I will not put this product back in the market until we have resolved the issues and concerns regarding it.)
