This is Marian’s grand teleserye comeback after five years.
After giving birth to her second child Sixto, Marian took a break from doing teleseryes to focus more on her family. Now, she is back on screen after five long years as the lead star of ‘My Guardian Alien,’ which her fans all over the world are excited about.
My Guardian Alien is directed by award-winning director Zig Dulay.
Direk Zig Dulay has critically acclaimed masterpieces under his belt-—Maria Clara at Ibarra and GMA Pictures’ Firefly to name a few—with the latter bagging the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival Best Picture and Best Screenplay awards. Direk Zig was also awarded Best Director in the inaugural Manila International Film Festival in the U.S. where Firefly also won Best Picture. With Direk Zig at the helm, My Guardian Alien is surely a top-notch series to watch.
The powerhouse tandem of Marian Rivera and Gabby Concepcion.
It is no secret that fans have been wanting to see the team up of Marian and Gabby. After all, they were supposed to do a project together a couple of times in the past. Now, the dream is finally a reality. In the show, Marian portrays the role of Katherine, the loving wife of Carlos (Gabby).
In the media conference held for the show, Marian shared what is it like working with Gabby.
“Ginagawa niya talagang light ang mga pagkakataon. Na-appreciate ko siya kapag napag-uusapan namin iyong mga buhay-buhay namin. Kasi nakita ko kung gaano niya kamahal iyong pamilya niya at iyon iyong na-appreciate ko sa kaniya, napakabuti niyang tao.”
It is a series perfect for the entire family.
My Guardian Alien will revolve around the story of a family whose lives will change after the sudden death of Katherine (Marian Rivera). While Carlos (Gabby Concepcion) and Doy (Raphael Landicho) are in grief, an alien crashes into Earth and takes the form of Katherine.
In an interview, Marian shared how proud she is of the project.
“Nag-present sa akin ang GMA. Ito talaga ang napulsuhan ko na sabi ko, ‘Ay, ang ganda nitong gawin kasi bago sa akin at sure ako, mapapanood ng mga anak ko. Kasi gusto kong gumawa ng isang serye na kayang panoorin ng mga anak ko at magiging proud ako.”
It will teach global Pinoys the value of humanity and love for family.
Marian posed these questions during the media conference for the Kapuso viewers to think about.
“Ano ba ang offer namin dito para sa tao, para malaman nila ano ba ang kahulugan ng totoong buhay. Ano ba para sa iyo ang buhay? Pagmamahal ba iyan? Pagmamalasakit sa kapwa mo? “Ang pamilya ay pamilya. Kahit anong mangyari, mamahalin mo ang pamilya mo sa abot ng makakaya mo.”
