GTV is taking you on another epic adventure and is transporting you into the 19th-century Joseon Dynasty with a new historical Koreanovela airing this August.
Love in the Moonlight is a coming-of-age, youth romance drama that’s led by two of the biggest names in the Korean entertainment industry, Park Bo-gum and Kim Yoo-jung.
Its story centers around Hong Ra-on (Kim Yoo-jung) a woman disguising herself as a man and going by the name Hong Sam-nom. In exchange for money, Hong Ra-on counsels men, gives them advice on dating, and writes their love letters for them.
Too cowardly to go, one of Hong Ra-on’s clients asks her to disguise herself as him and meet the person he is writing to. Tempted by money, Hong Ra-on goes on the date and meets Crown Prince Lee-yeong (Park Bo-gum) who is disguising himself as an ordinary nobleman.
Hong Ra-on does not recognize the Crown Prince and Lee-yeong is unaware that Hong Ra-on is a woman. The meet-up of the two goes in shambles and ends up in chaos with Hong Ra-on leaving the Crown Prince stuck in a pit.
As the two go on their separate ways, Hong Ra-on gets kidnapped by loan sharks and is forced to become a eunuch. Taken to the palace for assessment and training, Hong Ra-on and Crown Prince Lee-yeong once again meet. This puts the Crown Prince in delight as he will finally be able to get his revenge and make Hong Ra-on his servant as promised.
What will the Crown Prince have her do in revenge? Will Hong Ra-on be able to keep her real identity a secret?
