GMA-7 ups the ante of its drama lineup by remaking a well-loved Koreanovela that redefines the genre of classic dramas; a beautiful and timeless tale of undying love between two people.

Stairway to Heaven is the highest-rating Koreanovela in 2005, spawning a huge following and fascinating millions of Filipinos. And to reprise the immensely popular characters in the Pinoy version are internationally-acclaimed Dingdong Dantes as the Pinoy Cholo, and versatile actress Rhian Ramos as the Pinay Jodi.

The story opens with two childhood friends, Cholo and Jodi, who profess their love for each other. But like all love stories, theirs has some problems to face: Eunice, Jodi's stepsister, who wants everything that is Jodi's, and Cholo's eventual departure to study abroad. Still, the two make a promise to wait for each other. When Cholo (Dingdong Dantes) returns to marry Jodi (Rhian Ramos), Eunice (Glaiza de Castro) orchestrates an accident that would separate the two permanently.
