In 2019, the Philippines witnessed the grand directorial debut of one of the entertainment industry's gems, Michael V. who brought to life the family drama movie ‘Family History.’
The movie—which earned recognition in February 2020 by bagging the “Natatanging Pelikulang Pampamilya” special award in the 4th Guild of Educators, Mentors, and Students (GEMS) Awards—tells the story of a simple family man named Alex Dela Cruz (Michael V.), whose perfect life is turned upside-down after he learns that his wife May (Dawn Zulueta) has cancer.

As a special Father’s Day treat this month, the Philippine TV premiere of ‘Family History’ will finally happen on June 20 on GMA Blockbusters right after All-Out Sundays.
